FINALLY, we get our first print advertisement finished

This has taken ages of Alex's time, but we both really like the result. We will be advertising for the first time ever in print (in Faerie Magazine). Scary in a way;
(bit of a low res image that doesn't really do it justice - but too late to be putting copyright watermarks and all that). Okay, and I JUST got it to upload to the magazine ftp site. Thankfully. Off to bed now... Oh - ps. If anyone has been following the Banzai and Lotte saga (he adores her, she rejects him) you will get the in-joke. They are both type-cast.

Almost an embarrassment of Etsy Treasuries

It's funny how it goes. You aren't in any Etsy Treasuries and then three four five SIX, all come along at once. "What ARE you doing?" asked Alex last night. "Just saying thanks to, er, six people who put our things into Treasuries." As Alex has no idea what a Treasury is (it's a collection of Etsy pieces chosen by another member by the way) I'm not sure he was impressed. But what I do like is seeing the different contexts in which someone else chooses to present one of our pieces. By the way, I can't manage to screenshot the whole thing so most of these only show 2/3rds of the items. ___________________________________________________________

Wirth tarot bags

Urk (or do I mean URRGGH!) Etsy is again not showing newly listed items. So I will just show this HERE - now changed to have a link to the main shop, where you can also see Le Fou (great card!) and Le Bateleur:Oswald Wirth La Lune tarot bag.

Strength

So, the message for this week is – be strong!
Strength The Bohemian Gothic Tarot
I am SO enjoying doing this deck - and that's something I didn't expect, I thought it would be uphill all the way, but somehow once we got going it largely flowed.

Etsy treasury lists

We seem to be in three right now (and just for the next day or so before they expire), all very different. Interesting to see our work in these very varied contexts. Nice! http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=57 http://www.etsy.com/treasury.php?id=1181156425925U90209 http://www.etsy.com/treasury.php?id=1181228004249U5168513

Remember those ribbons?

We now have two cellphone bags. They are just gorgeous I think - very happy with these and I think I will quietly take a blue one for myself. They are both made with dupion silk (blue for the blue one, black for the lighter ribbon), padded and lined. Both have hand-woven handles - which are a bit ridiculous for us to do as they add so much production cost, but the ribbons demand it somehow. The white ribbon turned out to have some staining at the edges (see pic) - in fact most of the ribbon we have has some faults like this. It's very old indeed so not surprising. I'm not sure how much this matters but we'll make the ones with marks lower in cost. Anyway, I am putting them on the Etsy shop for now as there aren't yet really enough of them (we have two!) to make a whole new category on the main shop. If they are popular we'll carry on as we have some really wonderful ribbons. Do you think these bits of blue stain matter? I'm not sure if this kind of thing on antique fabrics comes under "shabby chic", "adds to the charm" or not. Certainly it's fairly subtle.
