Cherubs - as perhaps you haven't seen them before

the cherubs This is part of the relief from the old Jesuit church right by Charles Bridge. THOUSANDS of tourists pass it every hour, but it seems as though very, very few look up and see this. It's one of my favourite ways of gently countering the delusion that churches used to be poe-faced, strict places. In some ways yes, in other ways, well just look at the art on the average medieval or renaissance church. One day I'll think of something to do with this image. On a teeshirt maybe?

A quick bit of Gothica

Updating Tarot of Prague site right now. It's mostly been fun, but I'm now doing the more difficult bits - fun stuff mostly over.So to inject a bit of excitement I'm doing some work on the Magic Prague pages - new pictures, maybe some new pages. I'm hoping to persuade someone here to write a few specialised articles too, but that's more long-term.Anyway, a quick little bit of bone decoration for you - from the Bone Chapel of course. I would still love to know more about the man who did all this work with the bones - although on second thoughts, maybe it's best not to know TOO much. We used it in one of the final Shadow of the Vampuss spreads, and very splendid it looked too.
