Prague pictures - background for our next fashion shoot
I hadn't realised it's been quite so long since I posted here. The reason is mainly that I'm both working on our first professional fashion shoots (one done - one to go!) and also working really hard on building the new shop. Which is starting to look and feel exciting now.Anyway, here are some of the pictures Alex took while searching for good locations for our next lot of fashion photos. They're some of the nicest photographs of Prague that we've done for quite a while I think.

Pretty Irish Girl - Sean sings!
Okay, something really, really cheesy in honour of Saint Paddy.

Parq Magazine - a journal of fashion and urban culture
This month we are in Parq Magazine. It's fun and I'm pleased because tarot doesn't often make it out of the "New Age" and into more general publications. This makes it particularly satisfying.
Download the PDF here and scroll down to Page 12. The English transation is on Page 78.

Royalties?!
Er, we just got quite a good-sized (well it won't pay for a house, or a car, or even a substantial garden shed, but still, it seems okay to me) royalties payment. The Russian Vampuss has sold REALLY well apparently.
Goodness. Hmm. Well, I am delighted but also going through my usual self-doubts. I now feel that I didn't promote it properly (hardly at all in fact) in the English version. I mean, if it can do this well in Russia. Then again, maybe it has a bit of that quirky Russian sensibility. And the "translation" (which is more of a rewrite for a Russian sense of humour) is very, very funny.
Anyway, first royalties payment ever. Nice.

The photo-shoot
It's happening. We have three models, a professional photographer and as of this afternoon, a professional make-up and hair person. We have locations, we have bags. Now we have to pray for the weather and for all to go well.
In about ten days we hope. I am really excited, I've been wanting to do this for about two years.
More flaps
The from-old-fabric flaps are not quite ready, they've been quite hard to get right. However, these two - from pre 1910 Rackham-illustrated books - finally are done. It's really quite soothing doing these flap designs compared to the emotional ups and downs of making a deck of cards. I'm enjoying it.
