Cherubs - as perhaps you haven't seen them before
This is part of the relief from the old Jesuit church right by Charles Bridge. THOUSANDS of tourists pass it every hour, but it seems as though very, very few look up and see this.
It's one of my favourite ways of gently countering the delusion that churches used to be poe-faced, strict places. In some ways yes, in other ways, well just look at the art on the average medieval or renaissance church.
One day I'll think of something to do with this image. On a teeshirt maybe?
